1.6 million face masks arrive at Hawaii

A Hawaiian Airlines passenger plane filled with 1.6 million protective face masks has landed Tuesday, April 21.

Robert Kurisu, co-founder of Every1one, stated that not a single masks will be sold. Instead, they will be distributed across the state for free to vulnerable groups, including the homeless, the jobless and low-income families with kids.

Partner groups, which already work with communities on Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Hawaii island and Kauai, will distribute them starting Saturday in Maili, a census-designated place in the Waianae District.
