On Thursday, Molokai reported its first case of coronavirus. Maui County Mayor Mike Victorino stated that the man has a travel history to Las Vegas, and he was transported to a hospital on Oahu after testing positive.
The Hawai’i State Department of Health is investigating the situation and people who had close contact with him.
The man is an employee of the Friendly Market Center, the island’s main grocery store, which temporarily closed for cleaning and disinfecting.
