Congress is currently working on multiple bills aimed on providing relief for Americans affected by COVID-19. House members advanced a bill overnight which can grant millions of Americans paid sick and family leave in addition to the 8.3-Billion dollars in aid already approved for state responses.
“Last night the House passed a bill that would provide paid leave, unemployment insurance, paid food assistance, and very important for people who are worried about how to get the testing, is free testing for the coronavirus,” senator Mazie Hirono says.
The Senate could hear the bill as early as Tuesday night.
