Food bank drive starts on campus

FoodBankApril is food drive month at the University of Hawaii.
Students, staff and faculty at Honolulu Community College are being encouraged to donate food at one of the many campus drop-off locations or make a monetary donation to the library.
Drop off locations are available in the Library (Bldg 7), Native Hawaiian Center (Bldg 20, Rm 2), College Skills Center (Bldg 7, 3rd floor), Administration (Bldg 6, 2nd floor) or Student Life (Bldg 2, 1st floor).
If you have a really large donation,  call Student Life at x498 and they will come pick it up.
Since not all food recipients have electricity, cooking facilities or other meal options, donations of canned meetss, canned soups, canned fruits, and canned vegetables are preferred.

Hawaii Foodbank, through its network of island food banks and their local food pantries and meal programs,  provide food assistance to more than 123,000 households encompassing 287,000 Islanders—or one in five island residents—including 47,894 keiki and over 46,000 kupuna.
