Hawaii Foodbank will have food distributions starting at Waipi’o Soccer Complex

Hawaii Foodbank will have food distributions for across O’ahu for the unemployed starting at Waipi’o Soccer Complex on Thursday, April 30. The food distribution is at 93-061 Waipi‘o Point Access Road and will run from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Multiple family pick-ups (two to three families per vehicle) are recommended.

Hawaii Foodbank will have other food distributions at Kaka‘ako Waterfront Park, Kaiaka Beach Park (Hale‘iwa), and Waimānalo Recreation Center. Dates and times for the food drives are to be determined, and schedules will be posted on Hawaii Foodbank’s website.

High-quality food products from Sysco Hawaii; Hawaii Foodservice Alliance; Hawai‘i Ranchers Kaua‘i, Hawai‘i Island, Maui and O‘ahu; and Hawaii Farm Bureau will provide for an estimated 4,000 households at each distribution site. Several community partners, including Hawai‘i Counts 2020 Census, Child & Family Service, Domestic Violence Action Center, and City’s American Job Center will also be on hand to provide valuable information to recipients.
