Organizations are distributing free masks to help Hawai’i residents meet the state order of requiring to wear a mask when in public. Here are the organizations handing out free masks.
Every1ne Hawaii
Every1ne Hawaii is holding mask distribution events across the state. Volunteers will distribute from April 29 to May 1:
- April 29 at K-VIBE on 1639 Kamehameha IV Road from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
- April 30 at Kaiaka Bay Beach Park on North Shore from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- May 1
- at The BARN in SALT at Our Kaka’ako and at Lana Lane Studio on Auahi Street from 10 a.m to 12 p.m.
- at Waimanalo District Park from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- May 2
- at Kahuku Medical Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- at Pearl City Shopping Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- May 3
- at Windward Mall in front of Macy’s from 9 a.m to 12 p.m.
- at Waianae Mall & Nanakuli Beach Park from 9 a.m to 12 p.m.
Public can pick up two mask packs — five masks in each pack — and two bottles of hand sanitizer.
Maskout
Maskout aims to spread awareness of the importance of wearing cloth masks while also collecting donations of personal protective equipment for frontline health care workers.
Maskout will be distributing on May 2 at 1703 Liliha St., next to L&L Drive Inn, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
- They will be giving away 500 reusable cloth masks — limit one per person — but are also accepting donations of PPE.
- Cars can drive up to the site to pick up a mask or drop off a donation
