Thanks to the generous donations of Aloha Harvest, Honolulu Community College was able to provide over 1,300 free meals to its students last semester.
During Fall 2019, Career Services HINET Program partnered with Aloha Harvest to tackle the issue of food insecurity on campus. Aloha Harvest is a non-profit agency which rescues and delivers quality, excess food to help feed the hungry in Hawaii. Every Monday, students lined up with their valid UH ID and choose from an assortment of food items for free.
Food distribution will be starting up again on January 27, 2020. Students are recommended to check their hawaii.edu emails for location and time. Student ID’s are recommended but not required.
