Library website has a new look

While most of us were enjoying the summer, HonCC librarians were hard at work refreshing its look, both online and in person.

First and foremost, the library website was given a new look. There is still all the same useful information, but in a prettier package, according to head librarian Stefanie Sasaki. You can check it out at https://library.honolulu.hawaii.edu/home/.

And the librarians ordered up two important online resources:
  • Britannica Academic –  The rich combination of the venerable Encyclopaedia Britannica plus Merriam-Webster’s Collegiate Dictionary, magazines and periodicals, and many other research tools provides the variety of reliable sources that students need to consult when conducting thorough collegiate research. Content is written by Nobel laureates, historians, curators, professors, and other notable experts.
  • Flipster Digital Magazines –  This e-resource provides access to 24 digital magazines; read them online using your computer or mobile device. Popular titles include The Atlantic, Discover, Eating Well, Diesel World, Maximum PC, National Geographic, The New Yorker, Rolling Stone, Surfer, Wired and much more. Back issues are included, but vary by title. Printing is available when reading a magazine on a computer, but not from a mobile device.
