University officials are urging students and others to be prepared for two storms that are headed out way.
Hurricanes Erick and Flossie were both headed in Hawaii’s general direction this week, and UH officials said everyone should monitor their progress.
Hurricane Erick entered Central Pacific waters yesterday morning, and is is
forecast to gradually weaken through the week as it tracks
south of the Hawaiian Islands.
But residents should be prepared for high surf and the potential for heavy rains and high humidity beginning Thursday
There is also another storm behind it. Hurricane Flossie
became a hurricane Tuesday, and could potentially affect the state as early
as Monday, August 5.
