Volunteers needed with Ho’olaule’a preparations

Preparations are under way for the school’s biggest event of the year, the annual Ho’olaule’a, which will be held on April 17, and volunteers are needed.

Coordinator Mark Luke said volunteers are welcome to join in the preparations for the event early next week.  Here’s a schedule of what’s happening before the big day.
Friday, April 12:  Splitting wood for the fire and setting the imu.
Monday, April 15.  Harvesting the kalo (taro)

Tuesday: April 16.  Lighting the imu (about 10:30 a.m.) and food preparation.
