The University of Hawaii officials are urging students to closely monitor news reports and their UH alerts as Tropical Storm Olivia approaches the islands.
If the storm remains on track, it could bring tropical storm conditions to Oahu by Wednesday morning.
So far there are no known plans to close school because of the storm, but UH officials say it is of vital importance that all students, faculty and staff keep informed of the latest
developments and prepare for the possibility of the need to shelter in place or move to a public
As Olivia progresses, each campus will make decisions on whether to close or reopen classes and
activities depending on local conditions.
