Honolulu Community College will celebrate its annual Sustainability Showcase from 9 a.m. to 1 pm. Tuesday (April 12) in the courtyard of Building 5.
There will be music provided by MELE students, giveaways of eco-friendly shopping bags and plant cuttings, as well as hands-on crafts. Numerous creative repurposing projects will be on display.
There will also be information from the Polynesian Voyaging Society, Johnson Controls, and student clubs, as well as demonstrations of electric car technology, and community members displaying solar light display, water filter, and aquaponics technologies.
And there will be a guided tour of Mr. Phil’s Building 27 garden project!
