It was an eventful day at Aloha Stadium for the 2015 University of Hawai’i football season opener vs. the University of Colorado.

A total of 24,255 fans and saw the 28-20 win that went right down to the final seconds of the game.

From the moment, the game started, the Hawaii fans were pumped up and excited.

Hawaii  started the game off with a huge punt block of Colorado, and in two plays, scored a touchdown  from transfer quarterback Max Wittek,

Wittek, a fifth-year senior from University of Southern California chipped in 202 yards, 3 touchdowns and 2 interceptions through the night, making him  one of the key factors for this University of Hawaii Football team this season.

Overall, I felt the fans played a huge role in participation and crowd noise. Hawaii is set to play numerous teams such as Ohio State, Wisconsin, and Boise State, and is projected to finish 5th in the Mountain West standings.

It was a great win for the University of Hawaii football team to start off strong with an impressive win vs. the University of Colorado, and before I forget, the defense played a major role. Can’t win without a great defense.
