The campus Sustainability Committee is inviting students, faculty, and staff members to save something from the landfill by repurposing otherwise discarded items into something functional or aesthetic.
The group is seeking entries which will be displayed at the campus Hoolaulea/Sustainability Showcase this Earth Day in April.
The contest encourages people to find an item or items usually thrown away and come up with a useful new purpose — either functional or artistic — for it.
Deadline for submissions is April 17.
