Student designers showcased their talent at Fashion Show

16 Honolulu Community College’s graduates showed their designs in a fashion show last semester on April 27.

These graduates showcased their unique clothing lines in “The Collective” at the Marine Education and Training Center.

“The Collective” gained attention from the media. Local News channels KHON, KITV, and HNN (Hawaii News Now) covered “The Collective” and ended up in MidWeek. More than 500 people watched the models catwalk the runway.

Top island fashion designers come from Honolulu Community’s Fashion Technology program.

Although the clothes were the main showcase of “The Collective”, other CTE (Career and Technical Education) programs helped the fashion show be a success. Carpentry Technology students, MELE (Music and Entertainment Learning Experience) students, Administration of Justice students, and Cosmetology students helped the Fashion Technology students make “The Collective” a success.
