Men to march against violence, again

The 24th Annual Men’s March Against Violence is scheduled for noon Thursday,
Oct. 4, at the Hawaii State Capitol.

Last year, nearly 1,000 people attended this event, including hundreds of
men of all ages who marched to demonstrate their commitment to a community
free of violence against women. As a co-sponsor of the Men’s March, the
university is proud to continue supporting this important event and strongly
encourages all allies to attend and march with us.

The event starts at 12 p.m., with a suggested arrival time of 11:45 a.m.

A UH group photo is planned to occur immediately prior to the start of the
event. The event itself will consist of a roughly 20-minute walk followed by
a rally at Skygate Park, Honolulu Hale. The event is expected to conclude by
around 1:30 p.m.
