A New Emergency Proclamation for Hawai’i

Hawai’i’s 17th Emergency Proclamation took affect yesterday, Dec. 17. The new policy will reduce the state’s mandatory 14 day self-quarantine period to 10 days for travelers entering the state and going between countries, extend the moratorium on rent evictions to Feb. 21, 2021, and no longer suspend vehicle safety certifications required by Section 286-26(a) and (b) of the Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes. Residences should plan to get their safety checks as soon as possible as Motor Vehicle Inspections have been open since May.

The 17th emergency proclamation will be in effect until Feb. 14, 2021. Click here to read the full proclamation.
