Student leaders gathering on Kaua’i

More than 120 student leaders from college campuses across Hawaii are gathering on Kaua’i this weekend for the annual Ho’opili Hou conference.
The conference brings together student government, media, activity and other leaders from a half dozen public and private colleges for workshops, activities and community service opportunities.
A delegation of 14 student leaders is representing Honolulu Community College at the conference.
The conference kicked off Thursday night with welcoming ceremonies at the Kaua’i museum in Lihue.
Friday’s activities revolve around more than a dozen workshops and seminars covering various aspects of leadership skills.
On Saturday, the student leaders will be joining a Habitat for Humanity program building homes on the Garden Island.
