“What a great turn out,” boasted Student Body President Kaleo Gagney.
Representatives from the various campus organizations, clubs and resources enjoyed a day of swag in the cafeteria sharing information with the student body on the last day of Welcome Week.
Phi Theta Kappa signed up new members. The Fashion club was fundraising. A satisfaction survey was given by the ASUH, the student senate. Caleigh Fabro directed students to the Writing Center.
“The Writing Center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the school week and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays,” Fabro said. Most campus clubs were represented from the International Club to the Righteous Rainbow.
Community groups, such as the representatives from The Rail, The Health Exchange, The Legal Aid Society, UH & Hawaii Federal Credit Unions and Sam’s Club, provided a treasure trove of information and giveaways. After completing a survey and visiting each booth, students were treated to some sweet swag: shave ice or cotton candy.
