Today, August 15th marks the historic day of relief and sorrow. Sister cities Honolulu and Nagaoka are paying respects to the end of WWII in the Pacific with ceremonies in Pearl Harbor this weekend.
Over fifteen hundred lives were lost in Nagaoka seventy years ago, and over twenty-four hundred lives were lost in Pearl Harbor.
