Up to 320 graduates from Honolulu Community College are expected to receive their certificates and degrees at commencement exercises Friday night at the Waikiki Shell.
For visitors, gates will open at 4:45 p.m. and the procession of graduates will begin at 5:30 p.m.
School officials suggest that people planning to attend the ceremonies carpool at the event; parking will be limited because of on-going construction in the area.
For those on campus, two lei-making workshops are planned at the Native Hawaiian Center this week:
• Yarn lei, 2 p.m. Wednesday.
• ti leif lei, 2 p.m. Thursday.
