The University of Hawaii System began its search for a new president.
Due to the former presidents retirement, the Presidential Selection Committee has been interviewing different community organizations on all islands, for suggestions in qualifications for the next president.
“We want to take the time to identify the next leader of one of the state’s most visible and valuable institutions and the public’s input has weight with us” said Board of Chair John Holzman.
People are encouraged to visit the committee website at www.hawaii.edu/presidentialsearch to be notified of upcoming appearances and various ways to contact the committee.
The search began last month and will continue until late December.
